WiTech Roadshow is a series of campus visits, consisting of a career talk and forum on the state of tech in our country, as well as the opportunities that lie in pursuit of a tech career. The Roadshow talks will be conducted by Audrey Pe, the founder of WiTech and incoming Stanford freshman and 2019 Global Teen Leader, together with Chiara Ledesma, a Computer Science graduate from the Ateneo de Manila University and a 2018 Google Women Techmakers scholar. Audrey and Chiara will be covering a variety of topics, such as the journey of WiTech, youth empowerment, learning and growth, entering a life of programming, and much more!

“WiTech Roadshow” to bring us to your school!
FAITH College Roadshow
Last 2019, WiTech launched Roadshow: A series of visits that aim to inspire wide array of students to get involved in tech and inform them of the opportunities that lie in the field. Last October 8, WiTech had its first Roadshow at the First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities in Tanauan, Batangas.
Chiara, who co-led the talk alongside Audrey, said “speaking to 565 students in a co-ed school all the way in Batangas was quite an overwhelming start to our roadshow! We were so glad to see that the faculty and administration of the school were so enthusiastic about getting tech-related opportunities for the students.”
The two were also accompanied by Ramone who got more than what she expected. “I was astounded by FAITH college; their infrastructure and (system/structure) were really (good) for a school that has only been quite recently established.”
Miriam College JHS Roadshow
On October 9, 2019, WiTech went to Miriam College Middle School for the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) Week!
The main goal of the activity was to cultivate a lifelong love for learning and service, and pursue STEAM-related careers, also aligning with WiTech’s mission and vision!
WiTech interacted with Grade 7 students, who were so genuinely interested in WiTech and its advocacy, which came to a surprise to Chiara! According to her, “this roadshow was very different because we were speaking to 7th grade students in an all-girls school – when I was grade 7 I had no clue where I even wanted to be! I’m so glad we were given the opportunity to talk about the different careers in STEAM.”
Poveda SHS Roadshow
WiTech shows no signs of stopping when the team visited Saint Pedro Poveda College for the next leg of WiTech Roadshow last October 16. The team’s representative, Chiara, “got to speak to two groups of Grade 12 girls who came from different tracks and are pursuing different careers as they enter college next year. It was a much more intimate setting and it was much more about telling the story of my fears that started way back in high school. I feel like the person who needed to hear this most was myself as a high school junior/senior. I saw myself in a lot of those girls ready to embark on the next stage of their life. It was loads of fun being in an all-girls school again!”
A particular batch of incoming college freshmen had all the feels in the world! According to Chiara, “one girl shrieked when I said that I was a merit scholar in Ateneo, and I immediately went — “NO NO BUT WAIT I felt like I wasn’t at that level!”
At the end of the day, we “hope that everyone finds a piece of themselves in Roadshow and hears something they can take home.”
